A shooter shot a man outside a Bronx -Woningbouw project and then barricaded himself in an apartment – and brought officers in a tense impasse late on Saturday evening.
Just after 6.15 pm, the 25-year-old victim was now shot down outside the Edenwald-houses of Nycha with the alleged attacker in an apartment in the building.
The victim was hit in the leg and taken by doctors to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, according to the NYPD.
The first reports that a woman was also shot appeared to be unfounded, said NYPD officials.
Both NYPD hostage units and technical assistance -units are on site.
The situation is still developing.
