CHICAGO — The FBI says the man who robbed a bank near Millennium Park on Monday returned and robbed the same bank again Thursday, just hours after the agency posted a $1,000 reward for his arrest.
The man seen in the bank surveillance photos above robbed Citibank, 180 North Michigan, at 9:47 a.m. Monday, the FBI said in a bulletin Thursday morning. He handed the cashier a note suggesting he had a gun, the agency said.
On Thursday morning, the FBI emailed photos of the man with a $1,000 reward. Less than four hours later, at 2:25 p.m., he entered the same Citibank and robbed it again.
Again he showed a note, suggested he had a gun, and took cash. An initial audit found that about $2,700 was missing on Thursday.
The FBI says the suspect is white, between 30 and 40 years old, and 6 feet to 6 feet tall.

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had become discouraged by the inaccurate information presented during local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has since expanded to Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original public safety reporting with better context and more detail than mainstream media. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
