Create! Magazine Women’s edition 2025 Featured
Prizes include published interviews and features, AQ Society membership and special discounts for partner organizations. The call is open to female artists (female-identifying and gender non-conforming artists) worldwide, working in all media and styles. There is a $40 application fee.

Filter photo Context 2025 (International)
This annual retrospective exhibition with an open theme covers all types of photographic work. Context 2025 runs from March 7 to April 19. A jury prize will be awarded, including a $500 cash prize, and an honorable mention. There is a $35 application fee.

Royal Society of British Artists Exhibition 2025 (International)
The RBA’s annual exhibition brings together the association’s members to showcase their work, alongside a selection of works by non-members. The exhibition features major awards including the Huaicun Zhang Award, which offers two prizes of £5,000, one for a member and one for a non-member. There are also many other prizes on offer. The entry fee is £20 per work or £14 per work for artists aged 35 or under.

2025 Opening Portfolio Prize (International)
This competition aims to identify trends in contemporary photography and showcase artists whose work deserves greater recognition. The price is exclusive open to Opening subscribers to print magazines. The first-place winner will be published in the magazine and receive $5,000, a $1,000 gift card to purchase gear at Mpb.com, and a presentation in New York City. The four artists chosen for the shortlist will each receive $1,000 and an editorial feature on the website.

Booooooom photo prizes 2024 (International)
Booooooom’s annual photography prizes accept entries in five categories: portrait, nature, street, color and fashion. Each category winner will receive $1,000, editorial and social coverage, an article in a print publication and goodies from partners including gift cards, bags, slings and suitcases.

Sony World Photography Awards 2025 (International)
This competition is open to photographers shooting on any device and includes top prizes of $25,000, a solo exhibition in London, Sony digital imaging equipment, press and media coverage, and more.

NSMA International Painting Competition (International)
Open to professionals and students, this competition focuses on contemporary realism in painting, and all subjects are welcome. One winner will receive $25,000, and the finalists will be exhibited at the New Salem Museum and the Academy of Fine Art.

Start again Group spring exhibition (International)
Artists are invited to share their latest work from 2024 and pave the way for their direction in 2025 with a group exhibition in the Supporter Gallery of ARTS Southeast. All mediums are welcome.

360 CHICAGO CloudWalk call for artists (Chicago)
The iconic observation deck on the 94th floor of 875 N. Michigan Avenue (the former John Hancock Center) is launching a call for Chicago-based artists to submit installation concepts for CloudWalk, the city’s tallest outdoor terrace. The top-rated proposal will receive a $10,000 commission.

Artadia Awards (Los Angeles)
Artists will receive unrestricted funds of $15,000, and honorariums will also be provided to finalists.

The Other Art Fair (Brooklyn)
Registrations for The Other Art Fair’s 2025 season are now open. Submit your work to be shown at one of the fairs, expand your collector base and join a global network.

Boschparade 2026 (International)
Nothing and no one is perfect, and flaws are everywhere. The Bosch Parade 2026 pays tribute to all these imperfections and speeds under the title Powered by defect from June 18 to 21, 2026. Artists and collectives from all disciplines are eligible to submit their proposals for the biennial floating parade.

World of Wearable Art Competition (International)
WOW is a world-renowned wearable art experience, where an annual design competition culminates in a spectacular show that combines theatre, art, fashion, music and performance. The event will offer 25 winners a total prize pool of $200,000.

Subsidies
Powerhouse Arts Artist Grant ProgRam (New York City)
This program is designed to subsidize manufacturing for artists who face financial barriers to realizing their projects, with an emphasis on supporting low-income artists with other marginalized identities, especially Black, Indigenous, Artists of Color, LGBTQIA+, disabled and refugee artists. Artists will receive up to $6,250 for fabrication services, including materials, at any of the Powerhouse Arts stores.

South Arts Southern Prize for Visual Artists (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee)
This program is open to individual artists living in the South Art Region. The cohort of fellows from nine states, who will receive a $5,000 grant, will be selected by a national jury and compete for the $25,000 Southern Prize.

Subsidy from the Culture & Animals Foundation (International)
The Culture & Animals Foundation invites applications from artists who explore new visions of non-human animals and our impact on and obligations to them. Artists, photographers and musicians working in all media are invited to apply.

Adolf and Esther Gottlieb’s emergency grant (International)
This program provides one-time financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen catastrophic incident and who do not have the resources to cope with that situation. Awardees typically receive $5,000, up to $15,000.

Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund (Ukraine)
This fund commissions visual artists to create business projects on a rolling basis. The winners will receive between $500 and $5,000.

Grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation (International)
The foundation welcomes applications from painters, sculptors and artists working on paper, including printmakers. The grants are intended for one year and can amount to $50,000. The artist’s circumstances determine the amount of the subsidy, taking into account the professional exhibition history.

Residencies, fellowships and more
McColl Center’s Artist-in-Residence Program (International)
Open to emerging and mid-career artists from a variety of disciplines, this ten-week program offers a $6,000 stipend, housing, studio space, curatorial guidance and more.
Deadline: January 3, 2025.
Larry Lederman Photography Fellowship at NYBG (International)
This grant is awarded to an outstanding photographer whose work focuses on gardens or landscapes. The selected fellow will receive a $20,000 grant, paid in two installments for a nine-month period, from March 15 through December 15, 2025, when they will receive free access to NYBG’s 250-acre landscape and historical collections .

Women’s Studio Workshop Artist Book Residency Grant (International)
The Artist’s Book Grant is a six- to eight-week residency for artists to produce a limited edition book work. Artists work intensively in WSW’s studios and print and bind their own books. The grant includes a stipend of $350 per week, up to $1,000 for materials, up to $250 for travel within the continental US, free on-site housing and 24/7 studio access.

NYLAAT Artists-in-Residence Program 2025 (International)
Artists from Latin America or a Latin American background can apply for a two-month residency on Governor’s Island. Participants will have access to workspace in semi-private studios and opportunities for professional development, group sharing and peer critique. There is a $40 application fee.

Watermill Center Artist Residency Program (International)
Solo artists or collaborative groups working across a wide range of disciplines are invited to apply. The program is process-based, without the expectation or promise of a final exhibition of the work. Participants will have access to 20,000 square feet of rehearsal/design spaces and outdoor stages, a theater production archive, a study library, and ten acres of landscaped grounds and gardens. There is a $12 application fee.

Women@MIT Scholarship (International)
MIT Libraries’ Department of Distinctive Collections (DDC) is seeking applicants for the 2025 Women@MIT Fellowship. Artists, activists, musicians, writers, and scholars are invited to apply. The selected fellow(s) will collaborate with the Women@MIT Project Archivist and other staff within the DDC. The fellowship is supported by a $5,000 stipend for each project, and a maximum of two projects are selected per year.

Montello Foundation Residence (International)
This two-week program is intended as a retreat from the urban environment. It offers a new perspective on the work of residents and gives residents space and time for undisturbed experimentation and reflection. There is a $20 application fee.

Woodstock AIR (International)
Month-long residencies give photographers the time and space to break new ground, complete ongoing projects and further their artistic vision in an environment that has inspired artists for more than a century. The residencies include a $2,000 honorarium, a $250 travel allowance, and living space in a house with a fully equipped artist studio.
