HIT TV series Peaky Blinders, who reached an estimated audience of 80 million via platforms such as Netflix, will be adjusted in a blockchain-based video game and a wider web3 ecosystem, announced the companies behind the effort on Thursday.
It is being developed by Anonymous Labs, a Web3 Venture Builder who has previously launched the Cat Cartoon IP -Token from Simon. The company cooperates with Banijay -Rights, the global distributor of Peaky Blinders, to extend the presence of the show to Blockchain -Gaming and Fan Engagement -tools.
The smoky streets of England from the 1920s are again conceived as a decentralized playground where fans can dive into high-stakes missions, can make their own legacy in Shelby style (the family in which the series is based) and deal with the Peaky Blinders Universum.
The game is designed as an AAA title (a fashion word from Gaming where such products have extensive development budgets, large teams and emphasis on high technical quality). It will contain digital collective objects and community involvement mechanisms that use block chains.
The goal is to make traditional Peaky Blinders fans in crypto on board interactive stories and gameplay on board.
“Peaky Blinders is perhaps the largest IP to date to build a blockchain-based project, and I see this as a determining moment for the entire web3 industry,” said Wojciech Gruszka, head of development at Peaky Blinders Web3 game, in a statement.
“This project is not just about creating an incredible user experience – it is an access gate to bringing blockchain new income flows and building brand loyalty in the web3 room,” Gruszka added.
Specific details about token mechanics, launch periods or the economic structure of the game were not announced from Thursday.
