The man accused of Stalking Gov. JB Pritzker and the throwing of stones in the Gold Coast -Herenhuis from the billionaire received a probationary period on Wednesday, according to court reports.
Adam Dabash argued guilty of criminal damage to property in a plea that led to the public prosecutor to drop three other crime, including two counts of stalking.
Dabash security images from 7 October 2024 reportedly walked Dabash outside of Pritzker’s house in the 1400 block of North Astor and stopped twice to swing rocks the size of a baseball at the windows of the mansion. He left the stage briefly before he returned to throw another rock.
Three windows were damaged, found with one rock in the mansion of the governor and two others found outside. The damage to the ownership of the Governor was estimated at $ 7,900. Pritzker and various others were in the home at the time of the rock that threw, but no injuries were reported.
Researchers also linked Dabash to earlier incidents on August 26 and August 28, 2024, when he reportedly threw notes on the gate of the governor. Security video from both days showed his face and his name was written on the notes, although officials did not announce their content.
After his arrest, Dabash is said to have damaged a mattress in his police and the officers told that Illinois has a “m ***** f ***** for a governor.”
Cook County Judge Michael Hood sentenced Dabash to two years of probation of mental health and ordered him to meet different conditions, including submitting DNA to a database for law enforcement and random drug tests. Moreover, Hood has issued a stalking without contact and a plenary order of protection to keep Dabash away from Pritzker.
Dabash has submitted electronic monitoring since the costs were submitted in October. Hood ordered the ankle monitor to remove during Wednesday’s court session.
