With technology developing rapidly, Zumper is the latest company in the real estate industry to delve into artificial intelligence (AI) assistants.
The rental portal this week launched an AI assistant called Zoe, which the company says can answer “virtually any question from tenants about a property or its neighborhood.” Zoe can also help manage the process of renting an apartment by requesting tours and submitting leads. It is integrated with community listings.
“We want to use AI to empower both property managers and tenants in a whole new way,” Zumper co-founder and CEO Anthemos Georgiades said in a statement. “Zoe is a game-changer for the rental industry, providing 24/7 support to educate renters, refine their search and help set up their tours. Property managers can expect to receive much more informed and quality Zumper leads when Zoe passes them on.”
Zoe is not the first time Zumper has used AI. Last year, the company announced a plugin that allows ChatGPT users to search listings OpenAI‘stool. And in 2021, it launched PowerLeads AI, a tool that allows leasing teams to anticipate tenant behavior on the Zumper platform and generate higher quality leads.
Advances in AI have led to a wave of real estate companies looking to take advantage of the new technology. While usage varies across the industry, AI assistants have become a common addition.
In recent years Zillow has incorporated AI into a number of its products, including home searches, tours, fair housing targets, and a natural language search assistant. The portal giant also collaborates with Howard Hannah about AI tools for agents.
Zumper is a multi-family rental portal launched in 2012. According to Crunch base, it received its seventh round of funding in early 2022. Including investors Smaller Perkins, Blackstone GroupGflood water capital And Dawn Capitalamong others.
