Chicago – a man who tries to rob a probationary period to rob a woman on the red line is now being accused of trying to rob a man in River North – while wearing an electronic security bracelet. Robert Snell, 35, has been held to wait for the trial by judge Anthony Calabrese.
The Chicago police responded at 24:45 am to the 400 block of North State on 24 February after a man from Michigan 911 called to report the theft attempt, officials said. The victim reported that a man approached him indicated that he had a weapon and demanded money, said Snell’s arrest report.
Armed with a description of the so -called thief, the police kept Snell in a nearby rose and then arrested him after the victim had confirmed that they had the right man. In the Snell arrest report, officers noted that he was wearing a single monitor on his left leg.
According to the court reports, Snell is on trial because he is trying to rob a woman in Loyola in December 2023.
In that case he would have confronted the victim and warned: ‘You have 10 seconds to give me your bag or otherwise. I know you have a lot of money. “He went on taking her bag and tried to pull him away, said a CPD report. The robbery failed when bystanders intervened and the police called.
He pleaded guilty on November 18 in exchange for a two -year probationary period of judge Sharon Kanter.
CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information that was provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas.
