Rome Protocol and Kiichain have joined forces to accelerate the acceptance of blockchain-based financial solutions in Latin America.
The partnership will focus on Real-World Assiva-Tokenization and Cross-Chain Payment financing, aimed at creating new liquidity options for companies, developers and financial institutions, can excluding crypto.news.
An example of this can be seen in Mexico, where people investigate real estate topping to make fractional ownership possible, Anil Kumar, CEO of Rome Protocol, told Crypto.news. In the meantime, Argentina uses tokenized agricultural products as collateral for agricultural financing.
RWA -Tokenization is the process of converting physical or traditional financial assets, such as real estate or raw materials, in digital tokens that can be traded on blockchain networks. This allows investors to buy and sell fractions of assets more efficiently, thereby increasing accessibility and liquidity.
Solana (SOL) is a popular ecosystem for this, but it is only growing in popularity, said Alex Cavallero, co-founder of Kiichain.
“Solana is currently one of the most popular and very liquid ecosystems with incredible traction on the chain. However, users in Latam and other emerging markets are not connected to the Solana Ecosystem, ”Cavallero told Crypto.news. “With the interoperability of Rome we can determine new roads for liquidity between Solana and Emerging Market users via Kiichain.”
The partnership will make RWA activa more accessible for multiple blockchain -ecosystems by becoming a member of the interoperability layer of Rome Protocol with the blockchain infrastructure of Kiichain.
Rome Protocol, which improves the interoperability of blockchain with the help of Solana, will offer a framework for RWA issue, verification and trade. Kiichain is a layer of 1 blockchain designed for emerging markets. It will contribute its payfi module that facilitates payments, loans and financial services based on blockchain.

Partnership benefits
The partnership will streamline compliance, improve cross-chain liquidity and support both institutional and retail acceptance.
The Rwas of Kiichaha will be reflected as ERC tokens for wider Defi access, while verification on-chains ensures compliance with the regulations. Cavallero said that financial products, stablecoin-powered returns and real estate will be prioritized.
“These are the highest desired products that are not accessible without the benefits of tokenization,” said Cavallero.
The partnership will determine liquidity by making cross-chain asset movement between Ethereum (ETH), Solana and Kiaichain possible, reducing friction in trade, Kumar said. It also facilitates fractional property, so that investors can buy and sell smaller parts of high -quality assets.
“Tokenization can democratize access to investments in real estate.” Said Kumar.
Latam’s growing crypto market
Latin -America accounts for 9.1% of global crypto inflow in 2024 and represents 20% of the top countries in the global crypto adoption index of chainalysis. This growth is powered by Stablecoin transfer and offers a more reliable alternative to local currencies affected by inflation.
With the acceptance of blockchain increases, the demand for tokenization of real-world assets is increasing. This makes safe verification and trade on-chain possible, opening new opportunities for financial institutions and retail investors without traditional bank intermediaries.
Regulatory uncertainty, limited infrastructure and educational gaps remain important barriers for the institutional acceptance of RWA -Tokenization in Latin -America, Kumar said. While progress is being made, unclear regulations can prevent settings from fully embracing the technology.
Moreover, a lack of blockchain knowledge and adequate infrastructure large-scale adoption, said Kumar.
