Samsung has finally completed this year’s A series with the missing models.
Together with the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56, the Galaxy A26 was unveiled. It is the most budget -friendly model that is available, without counting the Galaxy A16, which was released earlier in the year.

When is the Samsung Galaxy A26 released?
The Galaxy A26 was officially unveiled March 1 or March 2, 2025Depending on where you are located.
The telephone will be available in the UK from March 19, 2025 via operators, retailers and directly from the official website of Samsung.
Although it has been confirmed that the phone will appear in the US, Samsung has not yet shared when.

What specifications and functions does the Samsung Galaxy A26 have?
Design
Samsung has refined the design of the Galaxy A26, making it slimmer at 7.7 mm then its predecessor, the Galaxy A25. However, the weight has increased somewhat to 200 g.
One of the biggest improvements this year is the IP67 rating, which means that the phone is resistant to dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
The phone is available in four color options: black, white, mint and peach pink.

The Galaxy A26 has a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1080p+ resolution, an upgrade of the 6.5-inch screen on the Galaxy A25.
In contrast to the A36 and A56, however, it has a notch for the selfie camera, instead of a punch-hole design.

The fingerprint reader is also mounted on the side instead of being integrated into the display.
Performance
Under the hood, the Galaxy A26 is powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset, which was previously used in the Galaxy A35. In comparison with the newer Snapdragon 6 gene 3 found in the A36, the Exynos 1380 is about 8% slower in CPU performance.

The phone comes with 6 GB or 8 GB RAM, depending on the region, and offers 128 GB or 256 GB storage. In contrast to higher A-series models, the A26 retains a MicroSD card slot for expandable storage.
Cameras
The Galaxy A26 has a triple camera setup on the back, similar to its predecessor. This includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macrosensor.

However, the camera system misses video HDR, which is available on the A36 and A56 models. The front camera is a 13MP unit, which remains unchanged compared to the Galaxy A25.
Battery and charging
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A26 with a battery of 5000 mAh, which offers a solid battery life.
In contrast to the A36 and A56, which received faster 45W chargers, the A26 will be hanging at 25W, which means that it will take longer to achieve a complete load.
Software
The Galaxy A26 is launched with Android 15 and One UI 7, so that the budget-friendly model is brought a new software experience.
An important highlight is the extensive software support, in which Samsung is committed to six years of security updates and six large Android OS updates.
