CHICAGO – Two armed men carjacked a woman in Edgewater on Thanksgiving morning. No arrests have been announced so far.
According to initial information, the hijackers, both wearing ski masks and armed with handguns, confronted the woman around 6 a.m. in the 5400 block of North Kenmore. They seized her property and drove away with the victim’s blue 2021 Jeep Cherokee. He was last seen turning onto Lake Shore Drive at 6:05 a.m. At least one accomplice may have followed the hijackers in a white Kia sedan.
An officer on the scene said the two carjackers were black men wearing ski masks and black jackets. One was dressed in all black clothing. No further details were known about the second man.
