Presented in collaboration with LA’s literary crown jewel Francesca Lia Blok(www.instagram.com/francescaliablock) and somewhere special (www.instagram.com/ergensspeciaal.la/), the immersive daytime gathering is inspired by Block’s beloved Dangerous Angels series, bringing together nostalgic beats, dreamy performances and a vibrant community in a lush rooftop setting at 929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA.
Guests can expect stacked throwback sets from DJs Ethicaldrvgs (www.instagram.com/ethicaldrvgs) and Modestpup (www.instagram.com/modestpup), spinning favorites from the 80s, 90s, new wave, disco and punk. The event will also feature a dangerously angelic live performance from rising star Vivi S. Fierce (www.instagram.com/vivisfierce), along with enchanted performances of extraordinary folly from Michael Vegas (www.instagram.com/michaelvegas) and host Siouxsie Q herself. The event’s highlights seem straight out of one of Block’s modern fairy tales and also include an encounter with real angels (www.instagram.com/angelbirdflight/) kicks off the festivities at 1:11 p.m., followed by go-go angel boy August Rain who welcomes guests to the chessboard dance floor surrounded by tropical plants. A Jayne Mansfield look-alike contest begins at 3:33 p.m., all against a breathtaking view of the skyline of the one and only City of Angels.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive heavenly dressed in their best glamour, glitter, vintage, punk, mermaid, sparkler, fairy and faun inspired looks.
