Natix, a decentralized physical infrastructure network (Depin) aimed at mapping data on Solana, shared on Tuesday that it is activated together with Taxi service line to offer more accurate map technologies.
Grab, which is known for his taxi services in Southeast Asia, but also crowdsources that map data for his technological mapping arm, will use his collaboration with Natix to expand his footprint to the US and Europe.
The partnership consists of the Natix team that uses Grab’s hardware and software technologies for making folders. “We take care of the side of the data collection, and we essentially have this together,” said Alireza Ghods, the co-founder of Natix to be in an interview. “They buy the data that we generate to build their pipeline for the US and for Europe. And on the other hand, they give us both their hardware technology and the AI technology that in fact analyzes the images to build cards and card services such as navigation.”
“We start in the markets of the EU and the US, true [Grab] Is not present. So this is combined with Grab, ranging for global expansion, “Ghods added.
Depin is a blockchain-based system that verifies the Real-World infrastructure crowdsources, such as data collection, and verifies it through decentralized technologies. Depin projects often appear in the Solana Ecosystem thanks to the rapid transaction speeds of the blockchain and low transaction costs.
Natix is a project within the Depin Ecosystem of Solana with which users can contribute street data and map visuals via smartphones. The Crowdsourced data is then used to build decentralized maps that can be used by AI models, especially for autonomous driving and smart city applications. Users are also rewarded Natix’s native token, $ natix, for their contributions as a way to encourage them to participate in the network.
“The reason we actually did the collaboration is due to the power of Depin in combination with a highly established technology for business quality,” said Ghods. “I think it’s one of the few sectors in crypto that really, really logical.”
