Solana’s software underpins these layer-1s

While Solana continues to cement itself as the most high-performance Layer-1 blockchain due to speed and costs, some crypto developers have interested in the use of the technology that Solana supports to launch new block chains of themselves.

Namely, there are about two dozen of this Solana Virtual Machine Chain Counting of Laag-1’s, Low-2s built on various other block chains and application-specific chains. But because of the simplicity, here are the Layer-1’s trying to surpass Solana Solana:

Fogo

Fogo is an upcoming Laag-1 that says it wants to push the performance of the SVM to the limit by having only the FireDancer-Validator client work on a permitted validator set with multi-local consensus.

If that sounds like a word salad, then knows that Fogo’s bet is that with a fork of JUMP’s Open-Source company code and a few considerations around decentralization, the Solana software can be even more efficient.

The Layer-1 raised $ 8 million with a rating of $ 100 million through the crypto crowdfunding platform Echo.

Pythnet

The popular Solana Oracle Pyth runs an SVM app chain where Pyth operators offer price data, validators and the Protocol Prices.

Pythnet is the oldest on the list: Remarkably enough, Pyth sent his SVM chain in August 2022.

Because it is a blockchain for data, this chain is less consumer-oriented than others, but it is an interesting decentralized way to stream price data and the product has been live for almost three years.

Solayer

Solayer was initially in funds and was launched as a Solana-recurrent protocol, but after Jito had entered the repairing race and as the repetition became less buzzy, to blame the-Solayer turned around his own layer-1 driven by his InfinisVM.

The documentation and leadership of Solayer have claimed that it can reach a million transactions per second on points, although some Solana developers dispute the performance figures of Solayer.

Jupnet

The Solana Defi giant Jupiter began to tease Jupnet in January as an “Omnichain network that aims to collect the entire crypto in one decentralized ledger.”

Little is known about Jupnet, but co-founder of Jupiter Meow said in a blog post that the so-called Jupiter SVM Validators has on agreement on both internal Solana transactions and external transactions from other block chains.

Jupiter has expanded his company enormously in recent months through acquisitions, but Jupnet is perhaps the most ambitious company so far.

Cube

Cube Exchange is building an SVM L1, co-founder Bartosz Lipinski confirmed me in a telegram message.

By means of

This has hardly been built since the thru will be built on a new virtual machine called the ThruVM, but one Lots of the intrigues Around this brand new project comes from the fact that the co-founder, Liam Heeger, was rather a core engineer who worked on the Solana’s firedancer customer.

So with the firedancer references, via a place on the list.
