An Illinois-Man is accused of inflicting long-term abuse and torture on his 16-year-old stepson-Die died a week after he did not respond, chopped, covered with burns and starving.
Steven Griffin, 44, was sued for murder in the first degree and other related charges for the fatal beatdown and horrific torment of his stepson, Daniel Garza, according to the Sangamon County State law firm, The Springfield Herald News reported.
The cruel stepfather is also accused of throwing hot water on the teenager, hit him in the head with nunchucks, stamping on his ankle and not eating enough food and watering.
Prosecutors said that the teenager died of blunt strength trauma on his head and body and hunger.
The teenager, who lived with his mother and stepfather from hotels in Springfield, was brought to St. John’s Hospital on January 27, with a weight of 94 pounds and with a body temperature of 86 degrees, said officers of justice.
The battered teenager also suffered from a brain blood, burns to his face, neck and chest, with bruises that shakes his body and fractions in his shoulder leaf and ankle, according to the exhaust, which the press release shared.

The boy was transferred to a children’s hospital and then to Indianapolis for specialized care, where he died on 7 February, the prosecutors said.
Griffin is also accused of aggravated battery, aggravated domestic battery, which endangers the life or health of a child and abuse or criminal neglect of a person with disabilities, the outlet reported.
He is also confronted with sexual abuse and exploitation in a non-related case with a 16-year-old girl.
