The Chicago police arrested a 19-year-old man after reporting two metro restaurants on the north-west side within 40 minutes. Emir Esenbekov, 19, is confronted with two counts of worsened robbery in connection with the robberies, which took place early on June 9 in Norwood Park.
Public prosecutors said Esenbekov for the first time on the metro on 5232 North Nagle, around 1:40 am by giving the clerk a question invoice and fleeing with cash. About 40 minutes later he would have been beaten again in the metro at 6352 North Milwaukee.
The Chicago police, warned about the first robbery, had turned off the location of Milwaukee Avenue and saw Esenbekov, which corresponded to the description of the suspect who entered and left the restaurant. When officers approached Esenbekov, a shop employee told them that he had just robbed the restaurant.
According to his arrest report, Esenbekov made an “excited expression” when he saw the police: “I robbed with Subway.” The prosecutors said that the police found a water gun in his hoody bag, along with $ 155 in cash, and a note with the text: “I have a gun. This is a robbery.”
Judge Shauna Boliker ordered Esenbekov to hold and said that he “terrorizes modest shopping servants with a water gun and a note.”
CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information that was provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original reporting of public safety with a better context and more detail than regular media. Our editorial e -mail address is news@cwbchicago.com
