CHICAGO – Prosecutors have filed charges in connection with three carjackings and robberies that occurred over two days in June, Chicago police said. The suspect is a 14-year-old boy.

Police say the boy was one of the people who carjacked a 44-year-old man in the 3700 block of North Clark around 2:45 a.m. on June 29. The victim told police that four men pulled him out of his 2019 Dodge Charger Scat. Pack, and at least one of them was armed with a gun.

The next day, the boy allegedly took part in another carjacking and armed robbery: A 36-year-old woman was carjacked at 4:34 a.m. in the 5100 block of West Dakin, and a 38-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint. minutes later outside a bank in the 5200 block of West Fullerton.

Police said the boy has been charged with two counts of vehicle hijacking with a firearm and two counts of armed robbery with a firearm.

CPD officers arrested the boy Tuesday in the 500 block of West Dresser in DeKalb. Police have not said exactly where the boy was arrested, but a high school is the main building on that block. No further information is available about the boy because he is younger than 18 years old.
