The 17-year-old girl has been accused of violent raids 3 Red Line passengers since September

Since September, Chicago officers have accused a 17-year-old girl of committing three robberies on board Red Line trains. The girl turned into the central (1st) district police office in the South Loop on Tuesday.

CPD said she was part of a group of people who physically attacked and robbed a 45-year-old man on the train near Garfield around 5:15 pm on January 5.

When detectives Released security images Of the suspects on January 9, they said that the group also robbed another passenger on the red line near 35th Street shortly after Garfield’s robbery. However, the girl is not responsible for the second holdup.

However, she is accused of the beginning of two robberies at the beginning of September 16. Just like the January raids, a group of people kicked the victims and took their valuables along the red line.

The girl is accused of robbing a 21-year-old man on the Staats-Lake platform around 3:30 am and a 22-year-old man in a train near Jackson at 6 am

CPD previously announced charges against a 14-year-old boy and 20-year-old Breon Edwards in connection with the robberies of September.

The 17-year-old is accused of three counts of theft and one count of aggravated battery that causes a lot of physical injury. There are no other details about her because she is younger than 18.
