On Sunday morning, a loose maniak repeatedly stabbed a fellow passenger in a train 5 in a northerly direction in the Bronx and the police are still looking for the suspect.
The 25-year-old victim was put in the body several times on board the train by an unknown attacker near Grand Competourse and East 149th Street, told the Sources enforcement sources to The Post.
The police arrived at 11.01 am after she responded to a 911 call. The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in critical but stable state.
The suspect, who was described by the police as a man with a dark skin, fled away. It was not immediately clear whether the men knew each other.
The suspect was last seen in a red sweatshirt, a black cardigan, dark pants and dark shoes. The police say they have not yet identified the man, but that the investigation is still ongoing.
The stabbing follows on the basis of a violent year for the metro system of the city – 2024 and 2022 for most murders in 25 years – with ten street hangers being killed.
