- Derek Luh and London Thor as Jordan Li, a gender shifter
- Asa Germann as Sam, super strong and super invulnerable

Season 4 was unfortunately missing Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, but fingers crossed she’ll arrive for the final stand in season 5.
Unfortunately, we won’t see that in season 5 Claudia Doumit back as Victoria Neuman. The ambitious vice president met a violent end in season 4, and there’s likely no chance of her return — unless it’s through flashbacks.
Who will play the new characters in season 5 of The Boys?
Season 5 will also feature new faces.
Ackles is joined by former Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collinswhich played Sam Winchester and Castiel.
This was announced in February 2025, and the appearance of the iconic Impala car in Jared’s shot initially led fans to believe that Supernatural was being revived. Instead, the two actors will guest star on The Boys.
It is currently unknown who Padalecki and Collins will play.
The makers of the show have also announced this Daveed Diggsknown for the series Snowpiercer and his roles as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the musical Hamilton, has just joined the cast of The Boys. For now, it is unknown who the actor will play, although it has been confirmed that he will be a series regular.
What happened in season 4 of The Boys?
Ryan rejected Butcher’s request to go against Homelander and escaped the CIA facility after killing Grace Mallory.
Butcher, now without hope, let his dark side take the wheel. He interrupted the Boys’ peaceful meeting with Victoria Neuman and her daughter and violently killed the Vice President with his superpowers. After stealing the anti-supe virus sample, Butcher fled to an unknown destination.
In the political chaos following Neuman’s death, police arrested Robert Singer for conspiring with The Boys to assassinate the vice president. Steven Calhoun, Speaker of the House of Representatives, became the new President of the US, and after declaring martial law, he handed over power to Homelander.
Annie, Hughie, MM, Frenchie and Kimiko decided to split their ways and flee the country, but they were captured by Vought troopers led by Cate Dunlap and Sam Riordan.

What is the plot of The Boys season 5?
Here is the official description of season 5:
In the fifth and final season, it is Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomanic whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk and Frenchie are locked up in a ‘Freedom Camp’. Annie struggles to resist the overwhelming Superpower. Kimiko is nowhere to be seen.
But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all the Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will change the world and everyone in it forever. It’s the climax, folks. Big things are going to happen.
In Season 5, The Boys are incarcerated in the Vernon Correctional Service Prison, a private prison owned by Tek Knight. Homelander probably wants them dead, and Annie, who managed to escape the ambush, will be their last hope. Since Starlight isn’t powerful enough to take on the evil Supe and his team alone, she will have to join forces with other superheroes who are hostile to Homelander.
Ryan, Homelander’s son, and Soldier Boy, Homelander’s father, can be powerful but unpredictable allies. However, it is uncertain for the time being how they will be involved.
Another big mystery is Ashley Barrett, the neurotic CEO of Vought. After taking a dose of Compound V at the end of season 4, we can’t wait to see her (presumably hilarious) superpowers.
However, The Boys’ greatest ally will be Marie Moreau, the main character from the Gen V spinoff series. As shown in season 2, her power to manipulate blood makes her the most powerful superhero on Earth. She was the subject of Project Odessa, an experimental program aimed at creating godlike superheroes. Besides Marie, Homelander is the only other survivor of the program, which will make their clash particularly exciting.
In the Gen V season 2 finale, Marie, her sister Annabeth, and their friends Emma, Cate, Sam, and Jordan are found by Starlight and A-Train, who assemble a team for a final confrontation with Homelander.
In the season 4 finale, events turned apocalyptic.
Will there be a sixth season of The Boys?
Unfortunately no. As Kripke officially announced, season 5 will be the finale of the entire story. In a post on social media, the showrunner stated that this was his plan from the very beginning.
However, this doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to the supes once and for all. There will also be a prequel series for The Boys, set in the 1950s. Vought Rising tells the story of Soldier Boy and Stormfront, the first real superheroes.
