According to A, OpenAi and Microsoft can reach a bending point in their relationship report From the Wall Street Journal.
The report, referring to anonymous sources, says that OpenAI leaders Microsoft publicly accuses the accusing Microsoft of competitive agencies in their partnership. OpenAI leaders also examined whether they should request a federal regulatory assessment of their contract with Microsoft.
OpenAi tries to separate Microsoft’s grip on its intellectual property and computer sources, but the startup also needs the approval of the technology giant to complete its conversion with profit.
The two companies are at a distance of OpenAI’s $ 3 billion takeover of the AI Coding Startup, Windsurf. OpenAI does not want Microsoft to get the intellectual property of Windsurf – which according to the report can improve its own AI coding tool of the cloud provider, Github Copilot.
Although Microsoft was once a major acceleration for the growth of OpenAi, the relationship between the companies has become tense. In recent months, OpenAi has reportedly tried to reduce their dependence on Microsoft for cloud services.
