Chicago police are trying to identify four men who committed three robberies aboard Red Line trains last month. CPD released surveillance images of the group on Tuesday and asked the public to contact them if they know any of the men.

The robberies happened overnight on the Red Line between Cermak and 95th Street, police said. Each time, the men approached passengers, demanded property and then forcibly took items if the victim did not comply, CPD said.

On Dec. 20, the group targeted a passenger near Cermak station around 10:23 p.m., police said. The crew struck twice within ten minutes on December 29: on 95th Street around 10:52 PM and then near 79th Street at 11:00 PM.

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had become discouraged by the inaccurate information presented during local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has since expanded to Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original public safety reporting with better context and more detail than mainstream media. Our editorial email address is news@cwbchicago.com
