Chicago – The man who was shot down while he died yesterday morning in a vehicle in Rogers Park. Cook County Medical Examiner records indicate that he collapsed on Monday around 5:20 a.m. about five hours after the shooting took place in the 1300 block of West Estes. Authorities have not released his name.

Monday’s shooting is the first murder in Rogers Park this year, a neighborhood with eight murders in 2024. Three of last year’s murders concerned individual incidents along a piece of one block from Howard Street directly east of the CTA station.
Officers of Justice have filed an indictment in two of last year’s murders, one that took place in March and one from October.
