Motorola makes smartwatches again! Just a few months after we had politely asked, the company launched the Moto Watch Fit, so that the return to a sector is marked where it is largely absent, apart from a handful of devices with only us.
However, if you hope for a genre-defining device such as the Razr holds, you will be bitter disappointed. The Wachtfit is a cheap smartwatch that has no real personality, which means that it will quickly get lost in the sea of other wearables.
As you can see on the photos, it shows more than a passing resemblance to the Apple Watch, although it opts for a much cheaper plastic back that feels thin. I would be happy that Motorola adds to the 25G (without a belt) weight of the Watch Fit in exchange for something that is more robust.

I really wanted Motorola to opt for a circular design such as the Pixel Watch 3 instead of square – it corresponds to what we have seen with most previous smartwatches of the company such as the Moto 360 2 of (checks calendar) 10 years ago and in my opinion it simply looks better on your wrist.

It’s not all bad …
However, that does not mean that there is nothing to be found here. The watch-fit offers an attractive 1.3-inch OLED screen covered with sturdy Gorilla glass 3 for starters.
In addition to IP68 and 5 AATM reviews for water and dust resistance, it should easily resist the elements.
With various built -in sensors you can follow the heart rate, steps and calories over more than 100 training sessions, while GPS (far from a given for this price) enables you to keep track of your routes.
I could easily see it accompanying my training sessions, with all statistics available on the Moto Fit Companion app.
And an important advantage compared to most flagship smartwatches is the battery life. Motorola claims that the watch -fit will last for an incredible 16 days on one load.

Of course I have not had a chance to test this well for myself, but if it comes somewhere, I will be very impressed and it will be an important reason to buy it about important rivals from Huawei and Xiaomi.
The strong lifespan of the battery is a direct result of Motorola that the OS OS platform of Google Shelt in favor of its own stripped software. It is surprisingly intuitive and easy to navigate, although I think I would miss the option to eventually download third -party apps.
I also mainly enjoyed the pre -applied fabric band, which offered exactly the right balance between comfort and security.
About that price …
At the time of the launch on 24 April, the prices of Motorola for the Moto Watch Fit seemed fair – only € 79. And for £ 89.99 in the UK it was only slightly more expensive.
Then the bomb came from us prizes. As Android Authority reports, the watch costs no less than $ 200 in the States. For context that amounts to around £ 150/€ 175, so the Markup in the US is huge.
For that price it is difficult to recommend that everyone buys it. But if you are located in the UK or the EU, buying a much more realistic feel.
If it performs well, the Moto Watch Fit can still represent an excellent price -quality ratio. However, I still wanted Motorola to have been something more ambitious with his first trip back in the UK and many other markets.
Motorola organized my trip to New York. I accepted it because there were no alternative ways to get hands-on time with the Razr 60 Ultra in the launch. There were no conditions about what I write or how I evaluate the device.
