Police officers in Chicago arrested ten suspects on Sunday evening after three people were attacked by a group of attackers on the Rode Lijn at Roosevelt. Until now, no arrests have been announced.
A spokesperson for the CPD said that three boys, a 16-year-old and two 15-year-olds, were in a train to the north when the group approached them around 9.30 pm. The gang has beaten and robbed the victims, according to the spokesperson.
The robbers, all of whom wore dark clothing and masks, stole the shoes of one victim and took all the phones from the boys.
While the victims left the train to inform the police, the robbers drove further north until they reached Fullerton. The police followed the signal from one of the stolen phones of the victims, so they were already near the Fullerton station when the robbers left.
Agents arrested some suspects on the corner of Fullerton and Sheffield. They found even more when they followed a second phone to Blok 2300 in North Kenmore.
