Vivo has demonstrated its new flagship smartphone, the X300 Ultra, at MWC 2026 – and it’s shaping up to be a bit of a photographic monster.
We don’t always give Vivo too much coverage here on Tech Advisor, as their support for the UK and other Western markets has been spotty at best.
However, after the impressive-looking Vivo X300 and X300 Pro comes news that the Vivo X300 Ultra will be launched outside its native China. It will have a worldwide release, although details on when and where are not yet known.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed because it sounds like it will offer something very special in the camera department, to take on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, iPhone 17 Pro Max and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
While spec information is currently on the thin side, Vivo showed off its flagship phone’s new teleconverter and camera accessories at the Barcelona event. The Vivo Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra (deep breath) offers a huge telephoto lens mount with an equivalent focal range of 400mm.
Add to that the sensor cropping techniques that smartphone makers have become so adept at in recent years, and the Vivo X300 Ultra accessory can achieve a focal range equivalent to 800mm.

Another new accessory offered alongside the Vivo X300 Ultra is the camera cage. This video-focused accessory is a videographer’s dream, as it adds shutter buttons and quick release ports and gives you the option to mount a flash, tripod and cooling fan.
Indeed, as Android Headlines reports, Vivo claims its new phone will be a video specialist. It will feature “initial specs at multiple focal lengths, cinematic color performance, improved log recording and enhanced audio.”
Specifically, it supports multifocal 4K 120fps recording in both the 10-bit Log and Dolby Vision formats, as well as three degrees of OIS for improved stability.
4K Master Color Video and Video Color Palette should provide fine control over tone and contrast. Vivo hasn’t forgotten about audio recording either, with the improved Quad-Mic Audio Recording Master.
We hope to see a full reveal of the Vivo X300 Ultra later this month.
