As a technical journalist and lifelong nerd, I tend to travel with many gadgets. All these devices have to charge, and ideally I want to charge them all at the same time. Fortunately, almost everything I have can be charged via USB-C, but that still means wearing a number of cables.
It is inevitable that these cables become entangled and I finish with the nest of intertwined cords to sort out. At least that used to be the case, until I invested in this retractable 100W USB-C cables that I found on Amazon. It may sound dramatic, but I mean it when I say that these £ 10.99 USB cables have changed my life for the better.
Although you are so cheap, you get two cables, both of which are 100 meters long. In other words, they will be long enough to comfortably charge almost everything you can imagine.
I know what you think – “there is no way these things will last”. I also had that concern, but I have been using them literally every day for more than a year and I have had no problem. They still move in just as reliable as on the first day, and they count my MacBook Pro on more than 90 W without failure.

The cables are flat and they are injured in a small plastic coil (about 4 cm in diameter). To extend the cable, simply pull evenly on each side and you can extend it up to the full length of 120 cm or you can stop earlier, then it locks one of the different shorter lengths. When you’re done, a soft tugboat at each end will ensure that the cable goes up again for storage.
This means that you never have cable more than you need, which is much nicer than a conventional cable, because it will never dangling off the edge of your desk. If it is time to pack, the neat small coil completely eliminates the problem of confused cables.

As mentioned, it is also well specified. It has a 100W E-Mark chip inside and supports PD 3.0, Quickcharge 3.0 and charging a maximum of 20V /5A. It also supports data transfer so that you can use this cable to transfer files between your laptop and your phone, for example.
The best thing is that they are cheap as chips. They currently sell for about £ 11 on Amazon, and for that price you get two 100 W retractable 1.2 m USB-C cables. I currently have four, and I may still be able to pick up a few more. Whether I am at home or on the road, these are the best cables I have ever tried.
