Earlier this week, the Trump organization De Laancing of its own mobile telephone service, smartly called Trump Mobile, and its first handset, the T1 announced.
The surprised world was even treated to a preview of the T1, which looks like a handsome bar of Golden Bullion or a render of a yellow phone of low quality, depending on your perspective. The most important characteristics are an uneven bezel and a strange formation of camera lenses spreads further apart than the eyes of a deer.

But what if you want all the glamor of a T1, without protecting $ 499 – or if you are located in Europe and not sure if one of these beauties will ever be available to you? Well, don’t worry, because we will show you how to build your own mobile phone from the Trump brand, for less.
This is what you need.
1. A budgethandet
The first step is to identify a T1 comparable handset.
The freshly launched Trump Mobile site contains the specifications of the telephone or at least a few. There is no information about the processor of the telephone, which is strange, because that will dictate the reaction of the phone and how well it can deal with demanding tasks. It is the key to user experience. But who needs a high -quality user experience when you have a majestic gold (colored) telephone? So forget that.
Here are the most important specifications that we know:
- 6.8-inch Amoled screen
- 120Hz Refreshing speed
- 50MP main camera
- 5000 mAh battery
- 256 GB Internal Storage
None of these specifications would look misplaced on a $ 499 phone, but you can get the same or better from much cheaper handsets.
Leaker Max Weinbach thinks the T1 is based on Wingtech’s Revvl 7 Pro. However, Gsmarena -comparisons suggest that the phone is probably a hybrid between this and the regular Revvl 7.
The good news here is that although the T1 is priced at £ 372/$ 499, the Revvl 7 only costs £ 162/$ 218 and the RevvL 7 Pro £ 196/$ 264.
The bad news is that PCMag called the Revvl 7 Pro Getter as only “a decent affordable phone”.
So we say: treat yourself. Last year’s Samsung Galaxy A35 has an MSRP of £ 339/$ 399.99.

That is still considerably less than the T1, and it has a user experience that we can guarantee and similar, or better specifications:
- One onion 6.1 (based on Android 14) with Software -Updates until 2029
- 6.6-inch Display, 2340 × 1080, Amoled, 120Hz renewal speed
- In display fingerprint sensor
- Exynos 1380 processor
- 6 GB RAM
- 128 GB Storage
- Cameras:
- 50MP main sensor
- 8MP Ultrawide
- 5MP Macro
- 13mp Selfie camera
- Up to 4K @ 30 fps behind video
- Dual-Sim
- Micro-SD card slot
- 5000 mAh battery
- 25W Charging
- 161.7 x 78.0 x 8.2 mm
- IP67 Water and dust resistance
2. A photo of a flag
Looking at the T1 -Render, it is not clear why time is displayed twice on the home screen, or that there is a choice from patriotic backgrounds for the proud T1 owner.
We cannot promise that you can replicate these functions exactly, which can mean that you can only see the time on your phone once. But if you can take a blurry photo of a flag, you are more than halfway.
3. A golden phone case
But it is not a Trump phone unless it glitteres like a spray-burned delusion. So go to Temu And grab this “stylish and elegant” golden cupboard for only £ 2.55.

For a more authentic experience you can spend £ 4.19 on a can of gold spray paint from Amazon and then your phone will still whisper the class (or at least one word that sounds a lot on it), even if you remove the cover.
Total costs
Because of our mathematics you would not have to pay more than £ 205/$ 275 for a DIY Trump telephone set. Go for the Mid-Range Samsung Galaxy A35, and we would say it should cost you £ 350/$ 410 even with a can of spray paint.
But is the Trump telephone not made in the US?
But wait – you almost certainly not think – is it not the whole point of the T1 that it was “made proud in America”?
Well, no. According to Wired, there is only one telephone that is made entirely in America (proud or otherwise), and that is the Liberty telephone from Purism, which sells around $ 2,000. Leaker Max Weinbach, who suggested that the T1 could be based on the Wingtech Revvl 7 Pro, believes it would be made in one of the three Chinese cities.
And if you honestly believe that the T1 will have a similar tailor -made production process for a middle range price, I still have a golden phone to sell you.
Eric Trump even later explained that the production claim was more of a wish and that: “Ultimately, all telephones can be built in the United States of America.”
