Chicago-two boys, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, are accused of committing that vast into a cross-Town police pursuit that ended with a Chicago agent who accidentally fired their service weapon.
No injuries were reported during the series of events that started on Thursday around 2:45 am in the 2800 -block of West 59th Street. According to the Chicago police, three men and 39-year-old and two 27-year-olds worked when a red car stopped and two armed robbers left the vehicle to confront them.
The State Police of Illinois settled quickly and began to pursue the escape car of the crew, a Dodge Charger who was stolen from the 6000 block of South Campbell on Tuesday, according to CPD. One of the police helicopter units of the city also followed the fleeing robbers from above.
Around 3:10 am the charger left the Eisenhower Expressway and three people saved the car near the 4800 block of West Monroe and officers they arrested a little later. CPD said that one of those officers accidentally fired their gun, but the bullet did not hit anyone.
On Friday, CPD said that the 15-year-old boy who drove the escape car was accused of three counts of armed robbery, possessing a stolen motor vehicle and fleeing worse. The 17-year-old is accused of three counts of armed robbery and has a stolen motor vehicle.
