The midseason finale of Outlander’s seventh installment left Jamie and Claire stranded on the ship’s deck in search of Scottish shores. Does this mean they have left the turmoil of war behind them? Viewers will learn the answers to these and other questions in the second part of Season 7, which debuts this fall.
Outlander is one of the most popular historical dramas on TV right now and the characters have been on an enormous journey throughout its seven seasons. Adventurous nurse Claire and her noble husband Jamie have traveled to different countries, started a family and had more than a few problems.
Outlander is based on the book series by Diana Gabaldon and the first half of season 7 covered events from A Breath of Snow and Ashes. After all the adventures and tragedies, Claire and Jamie try to live a peaceful life on a farm in North America, but as you might guess, peace is not their destiny. Once again they are confronted not only with their own problems, but also with political unrest, now that the American War of Independence has broken out.
