Get ready, Wednesday fans – season 2 of your favorite show is getting closer. Some time ago Netflix released a video in which the new stars announced that would appear in the series, but as it turned out, that was not the end of the casting surprises. The second season of the series will contain a real icon … and who knows – maybe you can see her in the first teaser of season 2, which will soon be published.
The iconic spin-off of the Addams family was one of the biggest shows on Netflix when it debuted, triumphantly participated in the will of Stranger Things and Squid game. In view of this, fans were surprised by the long -term silence with regard to season 2. There was even speculation that another streaming platform could acquire the series.
Netflix finally broke his silence and renewed the series for a second season. However, there are still many questions about production – this is what we do know.
When can Wednesday 2 be released?
According to rumors, the second season of Wednesday in 2024 would arrive. However, the production was stopped after the start of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike in 2023.
Work on the set of Wednesday was resumed on April 30, 2024 and ended in December 2024. Netflix confirmed that season 2 will debut at the service in 2025.

What is the plot of Wednesday season 2?
The final of season 1 explained the mystery of Goody Addams, Joseph Crackstone and the Lerte Bos. However, not all threads were neatly tied. In the last scene on Wednesday, an anonymous message and a series of ominous photos will receive. It is clear that someone else is lurking around the school, not satisfied with the presence of Wednesday. Does this connect to Marilyn Thornhill’s case? And who is the stalker?
Speaking of Marilyn, her fate is undecided, just like Tyler, who escapes from the prison convoy. Will he seek revenge on Wednesday, or have a change in heart?
The first season also introduced a mysterious cult to which the mother of Bianca belongs. This dangerous organization will undoubtedly be involved in one of the critical plot lines in the upcoming episodes.

There are many more questions to answer. Who will lead the Nevermore Academy after the death of Larissa Weems? What about Wednesday and the romance of Xavier? How will the relationship between Wednesday and Morticia unfold?
As Showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar said in an interview for Hollywood Reporter:
We want to explore all those relationships in the future and make it a little more complicated. The school was closed when they left, which gave us the most possibilities for season two, and I think that is something that we are enthusiastic to explore. For us the show is really about this female friendship, with Wednesday and Enid is really in the middle of that. The fact that they really connected to the audience was really gratifying. So we are pleased to explore now that Wednesday put her toe into the friendship pool, what will that look like? It’s like she was hugging. That was her big bow for the season, right? So it’s like now, we do. Then, the other that is really interesting is to continue to explore the Wednesday-Morticia mother-daughter relationship, which is now aware of Morticia, it has given her a kind of idea of how that goes. How will their relationship evolve?
Interestingly, during a conversation about the actors of Variety On Actactors, Jenna Ortega said that Wednesday 2 could leave season 2 instead teenage themes and concentrate on horror:
We have decided that we want to lean a little more in the horror aspect of the show because it is so airy, and a show like this with vampires and werewolves and super powers, you don’t want to take yourself too seriously. We dump every romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great.
Who plays season 2 in Wednesday?
According to Entertainment Weekly, the cast of Wednesday season 2 will be shown Lady Gaga herself. The pop star, who recently released a new album with Joker: Foil à Deux, in which she played Harley Quinn, has been developing her acting career for some time.
In addition to the leading role in the aforementioned DC film, Gaga also appeared in Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci, a star was born by Bradley Cooper, two machete films by Robert Rodriguez and two seasons by American Horror Story. We won’t see it in season 2 Percy Hynes White As Xavier Thorpe. The actor left the show after accusations of sexual violence appeared on social media in 2023.
