William Mophos evokes the carefree pleasure of childhood on rescued architecture – colossal

The tension of the childhood game is completely shown in the miniature works of William Mophos. On secure bricks, cracked tiles and other architectural issue found in São Paulo, the Brazilian artist composes mixed media scenes of a toddler who drinks from a water hose or a young person who walks a dog. Intimate in size, the dioramas Mellen photoralistic portraits in acrylic with sculptural elements such as tiny flip-flops throws from a child’s feet or a red balloon frozen in an acrylic window.
