“We have been very clear to anthropic that this is not our wish – we wanted to pay them for the full capacity,” said Mohan on X. “We are disappointed about this decision and short notification.”
In one Blog postWindsurf said that it has the only capacity with external inference suppliers, but not enough, so this change can make problems available in the short term for windsurf users trying to gain access to Claude.
The decision only comes a few weeks after Anthropic Windsurf seemed to pass during the launch of Claude 4, the new family or models of the company, which offer the leading performance of the industry on software engineering tasks.
