Woman entered the Protest public with children in the car and injured 66-year-old: public prosecutors

A woman from Chicago who drove her car in a crowd of demonstrators in the loop on 10 June, injured a 66-year-old woman, had her children in the vehicle and was a bail for bail because she left the scene of an accident in Will County, said prosecutors.

Deirdre Kemp, 30, handed over to the police on Thursday to take accusations with regard to the incident, which took place near the streets of the State and Monroe during a protest against immigration enforcement policy of President Donald Trump.

CPD officers had blocked a large part of the loop to catch the great demonstration, but Kemp ignored the verbal and physical orders of officers to kill its vehicle, said public prosecutors.

Instead, Kemp reportedly brought her Kia Spectra from 2003 into the crowd while she shouted obscenities against officers who pursued her on foot. A sergeant tried to stop her by grabbing her steering wheel, but when Kemp waved, he lost his balance and Collision with the 66-year-old Heather Blairwho suffered a broken arm, bruises and scratches, said public prosecutors.

One of the helicopters of CPD and a TV news shopper followed the fleeing vehicle for a few minutes and collected “electronic evidence” that helped with her identification.

Judge John Hock ordered Kemp’s detention and stated: “Many more people could have wounded.” He noted that Kemp had a band for a “violent crime” in Will County. Records of the Suburban Courts show that she was on a bail for a case from 2022 with regard to accusations of leaving the scene of an accident.

Cook County Officers of Justice accused Kemp of exacerbated reckless driving and caused physical damage, exacerbated fleeing causes physical injury and driving on a suspended driver’s license in connection with the loop incident. She also received quotes for not obeying a police officer and driving on a suspended driver’s license.
