Chicago – a Riverdale woman opened fire on a group of people who played game machines in a liquor store in the back of the yards at the end of Friday, said prosecutors.
Angeles Flores, 21, was unable to attend her detention hearing in the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on Monday because she was also shot during the incident and remained in the hospital.
Justice officers told Judge Luciano Panici, Jr. That surveillance video showed that Flores took out a gun, pulled the slide and then opened fire on the victims in Goldmore Food & Liquors, 1949 West 51st Street, around 8:34 pm
The bullets found a 22-year-old man in the chest, a 48-year-old man in the belly, and a 61-year-old woman in the left elbow, said Chicago’s police. The men were mentioned in critical condition, while the woman was in good condition.
Someone else in the group returned to the fire, hit a 46-year-old man and hit Flores in the heel and thigh, said officials.
Flores took herself to the hospital for treatment and the staff reported CPD that they were treating a Scottish -walled, according to a police report. Officers who responded at the hospital had already seen surveillance video of the shooting and they immediately recognized Flores as the shooter based on her clothing and appearance, according to the report.
Judge Panici has granted a state request to hold Flores pending the trial and said that she had ‘a full contempt for human life’.
She is accused of three counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm in an occupied building. Flores has never before been accused of a crime in Cook County.
