A 32-year-old Woodridge man has been arrested pending trial after prosecutors say he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old boy he met on Snapchat and brought him to his apartment.
Christian Suarez Isoldi, 32, faces four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and will remain in custody on orders from Judge Joshua Dieden, according to the DuPage County Prosecutor’s Office.
A friend of the 15-year-old boy contacted Woodridge police shortly before 12:40 a.m. Thursday after the teen allegedly told him he was at a man’s apartment engaging in sexual activity, the prosecutor’s office said. The police investigation led officers to an apartment complex where they knocked on a door. Suarez Isoldi and another adult let them in. Investigators reportedly found the boy in a bedroom closet and then took Suarez Isoldi into custody.
According to the allegations, Suarez Isoldi contacted the boy on Snapchat on Wednesday. After the boy sneaked out of his house, Suarez Isoldi picked him up near his home and drove him to his apartment, where he sexually assaulted the boy, prosecutors said.
“These allegations are extremely disturbing and will be met with the full force of the law,” said DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin. “While social media apps are widely used by millions of people every day, I would like to remind everyone, especially parents of young children, that these apps are also misused every day and they should please monitor their children’s use of social media.”
