World starts rolling out domiciliary iris scans in Argentina

The world is taking measures to alleviate access to its verification services in Argentina. According to local media, the Biometric ID project has started rolling out its domiciliary scan services, so that Argentines can have their identification checked at home.

The new functionality is being implemented in collaboration with Rappi, one of the largest delivery companies in Latam. The process includes the transport of a ball, one of the devices that are designed to check the personality of users and the subsequent scan of the biometric data of the users.

Now World also allows a less invasive verification option, which includes scanning an ID, such as a passport, from the World app. Users can also register for both verifications.

Tools for Humanity Latam’s general manager Martín Mazza said local media that this was a milestone for the company, which can now bring universal access to a safe and anonymous digital identity verification process.

He explained:

This is possible because both Rappi and World share a strong conviction that technology and innovation can be powerful catalysts for progress in Latin -America.

The alliance was unveiled in November. At the time, the world was investigated by Chilean authorities about expanding these services to that country, something that was refused by Rappi.

Nevertheless, Rappi’s worldwide operations manager, Juan Jose Guerrero, stated that they want to expand this function to other wide -grabbing.
