The surviving brother of Princeton Preppy Murder suspect Matthew Hertgen had sent his youngest brother an SMS to warn that their brother or sister was murdered about an hour before the younger brother, brutally murdered, newly revealed court documents.
Matthew Hertgen, 31, is accused of using a knife and a golf club to beat and beat his 26-year-old brother, Joseph Hertgen, at the end of last month in an apartment in the New Jersey, before tore sight of his relatives and the food.
Their other brother later told the police that he sent Joseph an SMS message that should reach him if he needed help in dealing with their restless brother or sister, according to a likely cause of cause obtained by nj.com.
“Will do,” Joseph replied – about an hour before he was hacked, the archiving shows.
The surviving brother, who had spent a few hours with Hertgen on the day of killing, later told the researchers that his brother or sister had struggled with mental health and “had experienced extremely disturbed, despondent and frightening visions” in the run -up to the murder.
“Want to help him, [the surviving brother] Matthew picked up at [redacted] At around 4.30 p.m. [The surviving brother] and Matthew went to the supermarket and then to [the surviving brother’s] Residence … where they stayed until around 10 p.m., “said the likely cause.

The surviving brother then had Hertgen back in the apartment where Joseph was.
After he had sent the creepy warning message to Joseph, the other brother also texted Hertgen to invite him to a walk the next day and encouraged him to ‘hang there’.
Less than 45 minutes later, Hertgen then called 911 to report his alleged distorted rampage, the authorities said they also set fire to the family’s cat.
The grim details came to the fore when Hertgen – a former college – football star – was confronted with Mercer County Superior Court on Thursday on charges for murder and animal abuse.
The accused murderer has been in prison for 30 years if they are convicted.
Authorities have still not revealed a motive for the alleged spiral of Hertgen in murderous madness.
