An Arizona father is behind bars on attempted murder charges after attacking a Department of Child Safety worker, leaving him in a chokehold for nearly three agonizing minutes.
De’Andre Johnson, 37, livestreamed the brutal attack live on social media Tuesday.
The disturbing footage shows Johnson choking the case worker after an hour-long interview about his daughter in the lobby of Mesa Tower, where DCS has offices.
A second before striking, Johnson punched the worker with his fist.
As the worker walked away, Johnson grabbed him from behind and lifted him to his feet.
Before the worker loses consciousness from the stranglehold, he briefly struggles in vain to free himself.
Johnson can be seen tightening his grip around the man’s neck for almost three minutes.
Meanwhile, no one in the lobby tries to come to the worker’s aid.
Johnson claimed the caseworker visited his 9-year-old daughter’s school and brought her into a room to talk to her one-on-one.
While staring into the camera, Johnson repeatedly tells the worker that he became “a dead man” as soon as “you took my daughter into that room and you couldn’t tell me or show me a motherly video.”
The father said he was angry at the school for not telling him about the encounter “with the door closed with a man – and they can’t tell me what happened.”
“Now my daughter no longer wants to come to school. We have problems. You’re going to get to know me today,” Johnson said in the footage.
Johnson dropped the limp worker’s face first, hitting the ground where he remained motionless. People can be heard pleading with Johnson to leave him alone.
However, when Johnson sees that the victim is still breathing, he tries to grab him again. “I didn’t make my damn point,” Johnson said.
Johnson then sat in a nearby chair waiting for police.
The DCS employee was taken to hospital and has since been released.
Johnson was charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder.
In 2017, he was convicted of aggravated assault after attacking a man he did not know.
He pushed the victim to the ground, kicked him and stomped on the back of his head until he lost consciousness. reports 12Nieuws.
