A Florida boy, 11, had a 'kill list' and arsenal at school, the sheriff says

A young Florida teen was handcuffed and thrown in jail after he claimed to brag about his massive stash of guns and plans to carry out a “hit list” at two different schools, a sheriff said.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office has seized a stash of airsoft guns, knives and swords after 11-year-old Carlo “Kingston” Dorelli showed a video of his arsenal to classmates and threatened violence, Sheriff Mike Chitwood alleged in a Facebook -message.

‘He had written a list of names and targets. He says it was all a joke,” Chitwood wrote.

For his “prank,” the sheriff charged Dorelli with a written threat of a mass shooting and released a video of officers leading the boy to jail with handcuffs on his wrists and ankles.

They also published his mugshot along with a photo of replica assault rifles, samurai swords and throwing stars on a table, counter-drug style.

The dramatic display came just days after Chitwood vowed to “walk” children who made jokes amid a flood of false tips in the wake of the deadly shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia that left four dead.

“Every time we make an arrest, your child’s picture is put out there…We’re coming for you. We are going to embarrass you publicly.” Chitwood said this at a press conference last week, after authorities in Florida received 54 false tips about impending school shootings in one night.

Florida isn’t the only state inundated with threats to shoot up schools.

On Friday, police in Foley, Alabama, arrested two teenagers for “making a terrorist threat” on social media, according to local police, just days after a school in that city went on lockdown when a teacher overheard a student talking about having a weapon.

Two 12-year-olds were arrested last week in Texas, where authorities have arrested at least 10 youths for threatening violence at school this school year alone. My San Antonio reported.

In any case, Chitwood has had enough: “For the little bastards who find this funny, ha ha ha, you want to get on social media: you’re not that smart… You’re going to get caught,” he said .
