Adults arrested during 'Teen Trend' in the city center did not appear before the court, says Alderman

Two adults who were arrested at the end of last month for small charges during a “Teen Takeover” in Streeterville did not appear before their court data, ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd) said Monday evening. A judge has now issued Warrants for their arrests.

People’s swarms filled the streets near Columbus and Illinois on the evening of March 28. It wasn’t long before a 15-year-old boy was shot for the NBC tower. An 18-year-old was also stabbed during a takeover-related fight in the loop.

Among the arrested when the situation was cooked, 18-year-old Evan Jackson and Trinity Barrett, 20. They were both accused of reckless behavior of crimes after CPD had arrested them around 9.40 pm, according to the court reports.

Barrett was released from the Nearth (18th) district station with instructions to appear in court on 24 April. According to Hopkins and Court Records, no-showed.

Jackson was also released from the station. He received a court date before April 25. And, just like Barrett, data shows that he did not appear either.

Judge Donald Panarese, Jr. Did not shine to appear to appear for both warrants.

“I want to take this time to thank the 18th lawyers of the court for their dedicated work to appear in court and follow these cases,” Hopkins said Monday. “Their work is so important and really makes a difference in combating crime and keeping offenders responsible for their reckless actions. My employee of public safety personally went to the court at the 2nd neighborhood.”
