His lawyer suggested that even as a Manuchekhri knew where the money he sent abroad does not prove that he himself is a terrorist.

One of the men with whom Manuchkhri had arrested the money was arrested by the Turkish authorities for a bombing in the field of terrorism attack on the Roman Catholic Church of January 28, 2024 in Istanbul, the FBI said.
Manuchekhri also told his ex-wife that he admired Sayfullo Saipov, the Uzbeek National, who committed a notorious terror attack in New York City in 2017, claims the complaint.
Saipov is ‘now in heaven’, the accused terror supporter told her, say judicial papers.
Manuchekhri is confronted with a maximum of 45 years in prison for accusation of conspiracy to offer ISIS material support, possession of firearms, while they are illegal in the United States and immigration fraud.
