A shameless intruder stole around $ 15,000 from donation boxes in a Brooklyn synagogue during an early morning collection last month, the police and sources said.
The masked thief, dressed on a pack of the Congregation Aguath Sholom on 18th Avenue near East 19th Street in Kensington around 1 hour 25 January, said the authorities.
Images released by the NYPD at the end of Tuesday show that the suspect secretly opens the door and travels through the house of worship.
The suspect – who wore a baseball cap and backpack in addition to his business clothing – entered several rooms from the synagogue and pushed the big pot of cash from several donation boxes, said the police and sources.
He then left in the same way as he came, close slowly and lock the door before he walked away casually, shows the video.
He fled to the east on 18th Avenue and then to the south on Coney Island Avenue, Cops said.
It was not clear whether there was anyone else in the synagogue at that time, but no injuries were reported.
