Chicago Police Detectives have released surveillance images on Monday of four people who were reportedly involved in a shooting outside Wigley Field last month. No arrests have been made, but the CPD hopes that the photos will lead to a breakthrough.
Witnesses reported that two groups of people in their teenage years or early 20s are concerned with a confrontation on the corner of Waveland and Sheffield around 6.56 pm on 15 May. According to witnesses, the fight escalated when two men started shooting.
A bullet fired by a shooter on the north side of Waveland hit a 26-year-old man in the left arm while standing across the street of Murphy. The police recovered at least 15 Shell -Oomhulsels near a parking space on the north side of Waveland Avenue.
Officers flooded CTA stations in the area and held a suspect at the Wilson Red Line Station, but he was later released without charges, according to the police.
On Monday evening, the police released CTA monitoring images that show four men who are reportedly involved in discharging a firearm during the incident of 15 May. The police described the four people as Spanish men, from 15 to 17 years old.
