OMID Scobie’s latest royal book has been exposed as containing eight major mistakes.
Endgame, which is about to be published in Britain, is said to contain shocking revelations about the royal family but is riddled with inaccuracies.
Scobie was previously described as “Meghan’s mouthpiece” for his positive reporting on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The book promotes the conspiracy theory that Princess Diana died in a car crash in a Paris tunnel in 1997, even though this has been rejected by former police chief Lord Stevens – who investigated the crash on behalf of the coroner – and French authorities.
Endgame claims that Diana’s driver Henri Paul was blinded by a “big white flash” from a paparazzi photographer riding a motorcycle that was overtaking the car at the time.
It then adds that Paul lost control of the vehicle at a speed of 65mph and crashed into a concrete pillar.

The theory was part of the conspiracy claims of Mohamed al-Fayed, who believed his son Dodi and Diana had been murdered on Prince Philip’s orders as part of an elaborate establishment plot.
Fayed claimed that Paul was blinded by Secret Service agents with a flash gun as part of a conspiracy to make the crash appear as if it was an accident.
However, these suggestions were rejected by both Lord Stevens and the authorities in France.
They doubt whether François Levistre, the only eyewitness who speaks of a flash in the tunnel, could have seen the detail he claimed while driving at high speed.
Scobie’s book also claims that both Prince William and Harry believe the police investigation into their mother’s death, with Paul largely blamed for drink-driving, was a “joke.”
The author also claims in the book that the Royal House’s diversity efforts are just a PR stunt.
However, King Charles, who was then a prince, hired Colleen Harris, whose family is from Guyana, as press secretary in 1998 and British-Nigerian Eva Omaghomi as head of community engagement in 2022.
Scobie also claims Wills distanced himself from Harry after his marriage to Meghan, despite the brothers and their wives attending high-profile events afterwards.
After the wedding, the ‘Fab Four’ were spotted at a number of events, including being photographed smiling outside St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham on Christmas morning in 2018.
Another of Scobie’s false claims is that the royal family is unpopular.
But a recent poll shows that every age group supports the crown – and 66 percent of people want it to stay.

Claim one: Diana died after a “big white flash” blinded the driver
Truth: French authorities and former police commissioner Lord Stevens – who investigated the crash on behalf of the coroner – have rejected this theory.
They doubt whether Francois Levistre, the only eyewitness to speak of a flash in the tunnel, could have seen the detail he claimed while driving at speeds of up to 100 km/h.
During the investigation, the court was also told how Levistre had given different accounts of the incident.
He had also served time in prison for possessing an illegal weapon and had been detained in connection with an alleged plot to sell a child.
Claim two: The Royal House’s diversity campaign is a PR stunt
Truth: Charles hired Colleen Harris, whose family came from Guyana in 1998 and it was said that she “helped turn Charles into a human being. He also hired British-Nigerian Eva Omaghomi as Director of Community Engagement in 2022.
Claim three: William distanced himself from Harry after his marriage to Meghan
Truth: There were a series of high-profile public appearances attended by the ‘fab four’ following Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding.
Includes Christmas morning in 2018, where the four are depicted smiling in St Mary Magdalene, Sandringham.
Claim four: The monarchy is not popular
Truth: Recent polls say the popularity of the monarchy is increasing. Now that a majority of Generation Z believes they should stay put.
Figures from JL Partners show that every age group in Britain supports the Crown, while across the country 66 percent want them to stay put.
Claim five: Charles didn’t try to rebuild his relationship with Harry after Megxit
Truth: Harry was invited to Charles’s coronation, despite the publication of his impressive memoir Spare.
Claim six: The palace lied when they said Camilla would never become queen
Truth: In 2020, Queen Elizabeth said it was her “sincere wish” that Charles’ wife would be known as Queen Consort. After the coronation she is called queen.
Statement seven: The monarchy relies on chauvinism and “Trumpian” attempts to stay in the spotlight
Truth: More than 250,000 people lined up all night to see Queen Elizabeth lie in state in 2022. Charles Coronation was also watched by more than 20 million Brits when it aired in May this year.
Claim eight: Charles was a cheating husband who ruined Princess Diana’s life
Truth: Both Charles and Diana admitted to being unfaithful in their marriage when it failed.
The book also says that Charles did not attempt to repair his relationship with his son, the Duke of Sussex, after Megxit – even though Harry was invited to his coronation.
Harry also turned down an offer to spend the anniversary of the Queen’s death with his father at Balmoral earlier this year.
Another howler in the book is Scobie claiming the palace lied by saying Camilla wouldn’t be queen.
However, Queen Elizabeth II said in 2020 that it was her “sincere wish” that Charles’ wife would be known as Queen Consort.
Since Charles’ coronation, she has been known as queen.
Endgame also claims that the monarchy relies on chauvinism and “Trumpian” tactics to stay in the public eye.
The numbers don’t support that claim, as 250,000 people lined up to see Queen Elizabeth lie in state in 2022.
Charles’s coronation was watched on television by a large audience of twenty million Britons.
The book also portrays Charles as a cheating husband who ruined Princess Diana’s life.
Yet both Charles and Diana admitted to being unfaithful in their marriage when it broke down.
