The hostel where the suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was staying was flooded with reviews — with some calling employees there “narcs” for cooperating with police.
“Traitors get… one-star reviews. Because snitches are no longer covered by my health insurance,” wrote one irritated critic on the HI New York City Hostel Google page.
The Upper West Side boarding house received a barrage of negative reactions after police released photos Thursday of the unmasked suspect, who sources said was seen smiling as he apparently “flirted” with a receptionist at the front desk.
Sources said the suspect took off his face mask and flashed a broad smile when the receptionist asked to see his face.
He booked a room using a fake New Jersey ID and paid in cash, according to sources, before chillingly executing Thompson outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown.
One user praised the rooming house for accepting fake ID, while giving it five stars.
“RIP CEO of insurance company. This hotel has KILLER service! Fake IDs accepted!” the person joked.
“Great location next to healthcare conferences!”
In another scathing one-star review, a Google poster accused staff of betraying the suspected killer.

- Brian Thompson, the CEO of insurance giant UnitedHealthcare, was shot outside a luxury Midtown hotel on Wednesday in a “brazen, targeted attack,” police said.
- The methodical killer used a silenced firearm outside the Hilton hotel on Sixth Avenue.
- The gunman shot Thompson multiple times, hitting his back and right calf before fleeing on foot.

- The NYPD is investigating a possible message — which appears to include the words “deny,” “depose” and “defend” — engraved on live rounds and shell casings left by the masked killer.

“Terrible, the staff are narcissists, no solidarity with their fellow human beings who are struggling to free themselves from an oppressive yoke,” they wrote.
Hostel representatives said they are “fully cooperating” with police as the manhunt continues.
“We are fully cooperating with the NYPD and as this is an active investigation we cannot comment at this time,” Danielle Brumfitt, vice president of Hostelling International USA, told The Post on Thursday.
On Friday, the hostel had posted a flyer informing guests that it was cooperating with police.
“You may have noticed the presence of law enforcement and media in the area. “Local authorities are currently investigating an incident that occurred a few miles from this property in downtown Manhattan on December 4, 2024,” the message said, adding that “our team is working with authorities handling the case.”
