I’M A Celebrity viewers turned on Babatúndé Aléshé after he said he believed in a crazy conspiracy theory about the Covid vaccine – before making a VERY quick U-turn.
The Celebrity Gogglebox star had a candid chat with Matt Hancock MP about rumors circulating during the coronavirus pandemic.
Babatunde told Matt: “I am a conspiracy theorist. I like conspiracy theories.”
The former health minister responsible for the Covid vaccine rollout told Babatúndé: “I have come into contact with a number of conspiracy theories.
“As in, there’s a few about me. There’s one that Bill Gates and I conspired to create the vaccine for Covid to put microchips in everyone’s bloodstreams so we could control people.”
Speaking to the Bush Telegraph, Babatunde told viewers: ‘I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I do like a good conspiracy theory.
‘I wasn’t going to tell him [Matt]but that was one that I…um…you know, believed.”
He then laughed before adding: “No, no, I didn’t believe that.”
Comedian Seann Walsh forced Matt to swear that the conspiracy theory was fake.
“I can confirm that this is not true,” he said.
One viewer said: Somehow I believe that Babatunde believed that theory
“Why do I feel like Babatunde really believed it?,” asked another.
Someone else insisted: ‘Babatunde believed in the microchip thing but wouldn’t admit it.’
“Babatunde scared me by saying he believed that conspiracy theory for a second,” another added.
