A 63-year-old man was found face down in a pool of his own blood Monday morning during a fatal stabbing at a Queens psychiatric facility, police and sources said.
According to police and law enforcement sources, the man was found bleeding on the floor of a room in the outpatient recovery clinic attached to the state-run Creedmoor Psychiatric Center on Winchester Boulevard in Bellrose Manor around 10:35 a.m.
He suffered multiple stab wounds to the back of his neck and his lower back, authorities said.
A 23-year-old man, described as a person of interest, was taken into custody for questioning – and claimed he had no memory of the deadly violence, police and sources said.
Both the victim — whose name has not been released pending family notification — and the person of interest were patients at the facility, sources said.
No charges were immediately filed, police said.

Police found a knife in the room where the murder took place, where the sources said the younger man also stayed.
Representatives from the practice and the state Department of Mental Hygiene did not ask The Post for comment.
