Man stabbed to death, teen injured in Lower East Side outside movie theater

Two men were stabbed just steps from a Lower East Side movie theater Saturday evening, leaving one dead and one injured, police said.

The violence broke out near Regal Essex Crossing at Delancey Street and Norfolk Street at 8:32 p.m., police said.

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was stabbed in the abdomen, while a 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back, according to police.

Medics rushed them to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, but the elderly victim could not be saved.

The teen was listed in stable condition.

According to sources, a knife was found at the scene.

Police say two suspects have been arrested, but it is unclear what led to the attack.

Locals were shocked by the violence on Saturday evening.

“It’s a mess,” said Paul, a local resident staring at the police tape. “It’s terrible.”
