MASTERCHEF fans have gone into hysterics after spotting a very rude conspiracy theory on the show.
Viewers of the new series of Masterchef The Professionals flooded social media with speculation that the people behind the program were leaving cheeky jokes for fans to recognise.
This week viewers watched as chef Marcus Wareing and former greengrocer Gregg Wallace took the hopefuls away.
Masterchef fans watched in anticipation and were hooked as the judges tasted the food prepared for them in Monday night’s episode.
However, many were distracted from Marcus and Gregg’s criticism after noticing a very crude image on the screen.
As hopeful chef Chris Finnigan, 37, spoke to the cameras about his dish, the cameras panned over one of the cooking stations.
There, two eggs had been placed side by side with a piece of rhubarb conveniently placed in front of them, creating a crude-looking shape.
The camera lingered on the phallic objects for a few seconds, but long enough for viewers at home to notice and flood social media.
Taking to TikTok, a fan filmed the moment as they watched at home and wrote: “Masterchef promotes c**k and balls.”
Another chimed in: “I’ve seen two of these videos and honestly that’s more than enough to believe it.”
A third said: “Someone in set design did this, maybe they saw the video, maybe they know you’re onto it.”
A fourth added: “One hundred percent of the props and set team are about to be pulled into a meeting today.”
It comes after Masterchef The Professionals fans were left furious over a “smug and pretentious” addition to the show.
In the semi-final of the BBC hit, the second group of four chefs cooked for a group of twenty of Britain’s best pop-up chefs and food entrepreneurs.
The task involved giving them three hours to prepare twenty portions of food in a confined space without ovens.
But while the four contestants gave their best, viewers were less impressed with the pop-up guests assessing the food on offer.
Fans complained that the foodies were all “smug and pretentious” and were put off by their comments.
“For me, the barbecue really came into its own because of the broccoli,” said one of the entrepreneurs, who wore a hipster-style baseball cap.
Twitter was soon flooded with viewers expressing their displeasure at the people at the top of the pop-up scene.
“The biggest thing we’ve learned from the past few episodes is that successful pop-up owners are smug and pretentious *****,” one viewer fumed.
