A TV and film director has announced a theory about the extensive UFO sightings in a recent episode of Unsolved Mysteries that continues to leave people baffled.
The Netflix series delves into a mysterious night in 1994 when more than 300 people claimed to be eyewitnesses to a UFO encounter in Michigan.
Netflix’s new version of Unsolved Mysteries featured a citywide UFO encounter in the third episode of the first season.
Now, Gabe Torres, director of the season 3 episode Something in the Sky, has put forward his theory as to why aliens made contact over Michigan that fateful evening.
“We’re working with Jack to solve the mystery of what this was [Bushong]Torres said Filmmaker That night, more than 300 Michigan residents from several cities in the state saw a UFO on Lake Michigan.
“And so we hope that people will tune in, watch this and give us another piece of the puzzle.”
Jack Bushong, a former meteorologist, had been tracking UFOs that night in 1994 while working late at his job with the National Weather Service.
Torres also claims that two pilots at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport also saw the unidentified object while their plane was in the air.
“We’ll just touch on that briefly. We don’t know who those pilots are, and we want to hear from these people, and we want to hear from other witnesses as well,” Torres told Movie Maker.
He theorizes that if the suspected UFO was carrying alien life forms, they likely came here to observe human life on Earth.
The director also claimed that two campers saw a UFO flying over Lake Michigan and sucking in fresh water through some mechanism.
“That’s a hotspot, what’s called a UFO hotspot, that area around Lake Michigan. The Great Lakes are the largest sources of freshwater in North America,” Torres said.
“So if you’re seeing a lot of UFOs, and these people are reporting that these types of waterspouts are going in and not coming down – are these things using water on their travels?”
Torres drew a comparison between humans sending rovers to Mars and aliens coming to Earth to “find out who we are and what we stand for.”
“They clearly pose no threat to us,” he added. “They clearly have advanced technology that has not been used aggressively against us.”

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a
sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally
off topic but I had to tell someone!
